Just a Thought...Exercise.

Just a Thought....Exercise. Well trying to lose isn't an easy task and as much as you plan and eat very healthy, the best way to help accelerate the process is to actually exercise. I started trying to do that this week. Just by simply using the treadmill at home just to get jumpstarted on some kind of cardio. I have been helped tremendously but the physical nature of the work that I do but to really make an impact you have to go beyond that to shed more pounds. I have been taking vitamins, supplements and been sticking to a regular diet. I can feel that I have lost some weight but to reach my goal, I will need more than just that to take my fitness and health to the next level. Something that I realized is that even though I have physical labor at work, I am out of shape. I could only handle fifteen minutes on the treadmill yesterday and only about two more minutes longer than that today. I just get tired faster just because of my foot injury. I lost a lot of muscle and strength in my legs by not really using them when I was off my foot. I run on the treadmill and my body just gets tired very quickly. I know that I will have to build up endurance to get to where I want to be in a couple of months. I have a definite goal weight and soon I want to start looking at options to find an affordable gym so that my wife and I can start going to have access to better methods and types of equipment. That is hard to do when your on a budget but anything worth doing is worth the sacrifice. I just haven't always been a fan of exercise although I did use to run three miles a day at one point in my early life. I want to once again get to that point. Physical fitness is very important to me now simply for the fact is the alternative is much worse and I have seen that path. My father followed that path and it leads to his eventual demise. I know that we are all going to die someday but why to rush it if you have the opportunity to make it last as long as God is willing to let you live. I will take this new chapter in life and make it part of my everyday new lifestyle because this is a lifestyle change. I will not go back to being that other guy, I lived that way too long and now that I see some kind of light. I am damn sure to not let it get away from me ever again. So if actually catch me running or doing some kind of physical exercise, know that I am trying to accept it as part of what I must do to reach my goals. So until we meet again tomorrow, remember that this was....just a thought.
